Noise is the warning
Grinding, popping, and a door that shudders on its way up are how a door tells you parts are wearing: dry hinges, flat-spotted nylon rollers, or springs that have lost enough tension that the opener is doing the lifting. It isn’t an emergency yet, and a tune-up is the cheap way to keep it that way.
What the tune-up covers
We lubricate hinges, rollers, bearings, and springs with a door-rated lubricant, not a spray degreaser. We check every roller and hinge for wear, test the balance with the opener disconnected, and adjust spring tension if it has drifted. We also set the opener’s force and travel limits and run the safety-reversal test.
Price
The tune-up is $129 flat. If we find a part that needs replacing, we show it to you and quote it separately. You decide whether we do it that visit.
